9:49 p.m. - 2010-04-27 We headed to Dunluce Castle first.
Part of the ruin. The whole thing is a big ruin, but veree picturesque.
These windows are more modern, modern being very much a relative term... Brooding scenery. You can make out the treacherous rocks below...if you strain your eyes...
More nesting... More scenery... And then we reversed direction and went on to the Giants Causeway, where Biba and Ned climbed like mountain goats. And I climbed like...well a clam, or something. I know, more like a crab! The Giant's Causeway was made from cooling basalt, which forms/formed natural hexagonal columns. Magma figures in there somewhere, I'll wager...Makes for excellent climbing and playing. Behold the hexagon. Not all perfect. This is a more clear example. Amazing what a little bit of distance will do to one's perspective... Here are the busses lurking. They take you up and down for a pound each way, if you don't fancy the walk. Climbing and playing... The land formations are spectacular! Stealth flowers...
Playing... Here is a nice little cove... I adore this part!! Looks like a big church organ... There is so much to see there! Especially that clueless chicky who climbed (sort of) in micro-hotpants and chunky platforms. Ned forbade me to document it! And we could see Islay (a region of Scotland) from the causeway. It was a brilliant morning! 8 comments
