Wheeee! Sounds like the drill we put our kids through on the Star of India. Yup. The food is "take it or leave it." Those who left it were VERY hungry in the morning!

My husband and son got to go on a shakedown trip on a newly commissioned aircraft carrier years ago since our BIL was a ranking officer at the time. They enjoyed it. I enjoyed staying home alone....
