I've always liked vultures. Where I grew up there was a wildlife museum (basically a wild animal hospital that had a sort of mini-zoo thing with some of the animals that couldn't be released into the wild in habitats and such so kids could learn about them) in the park near my house. They had a turkey vulture named Lord Richard and he was awesome. He even came to my school with the handlers once. :) Anyway, most of the time he'd just sort of sit there and watch what was happening, but if you got too close or a kid was too loud or something he would put his wings out and hiss. He was a cranky old coot, but I liked him. He had personality. Ever since then I've always had a soft spot for vultures.
