It IS your job. And if something happened, you would feel awful! You can't possibly watch her every minute, and I can guarantee you wouldn't enjoy yourself if she wasn't with you. Go with your heart on this one!

I agree as well. I've mentioned that I work in a residential treatment facility for juveniles. THAT would be what we are treating them for. I can't comment on the prospective BIL as I know nothing about him, BUT, I will say this. I treat clients who get it, eventually, and have a decent chance of going on and living a "normal" life. That would consist of maybe 30% of the total. Another 30% either don't get it (even after 1-2 years of treatment) or don't want to. The other 40% is somewhere in between. I wouldn't risk my child's safety OR anyone's I knew with those odds. And that is talking about juveniles, who have a much better chance at rehabilitation than adults. Were his charges adult or juvenile? Either way, I wouldn't let him within a mile of Biba - an offender's entire focus consists of manipulation and getting what he wants. Stick to your guns - attempted sexual battery is NOT "witnessing underage sex". Chances are it was something much more serious that got pled down for a guilty plea. I'm appalled that they knew this and didn't tell you. Be safe!! XO

Stick to your gut feelings. You must keep your daughter safe.

Stick to your guns. A rift in the family is a mild matter in comparison with the likelihood of recidivism when it comes to sexual offenses.

Trust your gut on this one, fifi. You really should have been told long before it got to this point, especially because it sounds like Ned and his mom were already in the know.
