Not only were the pictures beautiful, the background info was very interesting!! Yep, makes me want to know more!! I know basic Irish history, but you are giving us some intimate little details I really enjoy and want to find out more. Thank you, Fifi, I'm really enjoying this! XOXO :)

I'm loving your pictures. Never been to Newgrange, but I will have to remedy that. I have, however, bought Buckfast tonic at Buckfast Abbey itself (it's down in Devon, or thereabouts). The people who make it are quite respectable, unlike the people who drink it on the streets of Glasgow. That stuff is real ASBO-juice! xx

That was incredible, Fifi. I so wish you could be my tour guide (with several pints of Guinness in hand as well!) Do you know, I must be very stupid, because I had no idea of even the existence of these mounds. This is very impressive. I just had no idea! I am particularly interested in the three-spiral kerb stone, but I think the snake is very beautiful, too. I can't believe how beautiful it all is, actually. Oh and I laughed so much over old ladies getting potted. You could also be a spirits critic. Yes, yes you could! Your writing has just the trick of being evocative!

PS What a wonderful opportunity for Biba. Also, have a great weekend. I know it will be a bit of a pain, but I hope the road trip is great.
