re: #7. I was ALWAYS irresponsible and loved it. Circumstances somehow placed me in a position of responsibility, and I surprised everyone by doing it rather well. Maybe even responsibly. Maybe even border collie-ish. However, now that I have (happily) returned to a position where responsibility is suggested, but not required EVERY WAKING MINUTE, I can easily admit that this is where I would rather be. The border collie part of me (which yes, does exist) does find other, less burdensome outlets. "big smile" XO :)

That was a great list, Fifi!! I like the bit about the friend with skim ice on the toilet. That sounds quite poetic really, and reminds me of the house in The Shipp!ng News that slides into the sea. I know what you mean about grands. I think you have an overdeveloped sense of responsibility. I think I have this too. I also think that it would be worthwhile to slightly diminish this. :) Oh yes and get your inhaler!! XO

I would like to think that there are such things as industrious slugs, working hard and saving up for a shell of their own, so that they can get on the 'property ladder', becoming snails. Exactly what industry a slug works in is unclear, but I'm guessing telemarketing.

I am no less responsible than I was when I could live up to my responsibilities, but I can't do what I can't do. Truth is, I AM happier when I can just let things be and take it easy. Happier, not necessarily more comfortable. My inner Border Collie almost never sleeps.
