Sounds absolutely pitch perfect to me, Fifi. Honestly. Biba's lucky to have such an excellent mum. Loved the line "Oh crap - I'm the Mum." Really, that would be my thought every day, as I absentmindedly left my kids locked in my car somewhere (somehow I suspect that I would do this), or forgot them at daycare and was wandering around the art gallery or something. ;-)

I think you handled it perfectly. It's kind of a lose-win-lose situation with either extreme being the wrong way to go, and even with you being able to fix them and end up with the perfect solution, it would have been ok anyway because of the way you dealt with it. My line of work is all about natural consequences - both good and bad - and Fifi, Blue is right. Biba has an excellent mum who has a natural feel for what she wants to happen. XO :)
