Creeping Charlie? Woah! You just caused me a post-traumatic flashback to the Vietnam war. Which is odd because I wasn't there... Let's be thankful for the return of rum. "Fifteen men on a dead man's chest. Yo-ho-ho and a bottle of rum..." I think I am over-excitable this morning. Sorry. Jx

Oh, be very glad that you don't know "Creeping Charlie"! HAH! I just got the Vietnam reference...It is a rahther pernicious (or is that "persistent" vine with rounded leaves, small purple flowers in early Spring, and apparently quite a sense of purpose. In the South of this country, there is a vine called Kudzu, which can apparently grow a foot per day. CC seems is nearly as bad. It is quite ineradicable, although if I did in fact manage to eradicate it, I'd have bald patches in the grass parts. Whoah, why did that sound sort of dirty?... /F

The words 'Fun' and 'Teambuilding' are not natural bedfellows. *shudder* You were right to opt out. s x

I read about Kudzu in a (fairly poor) novel, 'Kinflicks'. It sounds absolutely dreadful. Is it spreading all over the USA? Or will it turn out to be like those killer bees that were supposed to have killed us all by now? I was told to always grow mint in pots and not flowerbeds, for much the same reason. Then one of us accidentally reversed into a flowerpot, and broke it... minty-fresh garden resulted!

Fifs: First, de rien! Second: I'm so glad that you have some rum. Third: I'm sure your accent is cute. Fourth: I forget already...will have to go back to the entry. Oh! My stepfather always reminds me of how animals are part of a huge food chain. In nature they would and DO get killed horribly anyhow by other animals! Do not worry. I am deffo no vegetarian. Humane treatment of animals when they are being raised and killed is what I believe is our duty of care!
