John Deere-type stores make me weep. This is possibly because I know that, once he enters one, my husband will not be seen again for at least 18 hours. And when he IS seen again, he will have a misty look in his eyes and will announce that he's just spent all our money on some enormous piece of farm equipment that is ugly, cumbersome and loud. (Oops -- that sounds almost as if it could be me! Except I am neither ugly nor cumbersome, obviously.) Love, R xxx

I also pushed good manners on my kids, and they have never regretted it. ;-) Back when we had a farm, the farmer's co-op (our local version of the John Deere store) was the favourite place to shop for just about everything. For us, with little boys as the time, one of the best things was the genuine John Deere and Caterpiller toys - miniature versions of the back hoes and front end loaders for the boys to play with. Great fun!

Fifi, I am sorry to hear about your dad. Good wishes for his speedy recovery! You know, I've been around lots of farm machinery, but I don't think I've ever been in a John D33re store. I'm wracking my brain to remember! Oh and 330 USD doesn't seem like very much to spend on many items - so nice that you bought some for someone else, too! :)

It's so much fun deciphering your entries. Your English language breakdowns actually make you seem rather adorable. =D Hope your dad recovers ok.

I'm sorry to hear about your dad, too. May he get well soon! I am clueless about John Deere stores, quelle surprise. The closest to that I know is Lowe's, :O which sounds like it's not close at all. Kisses.
