I think that's the way of it. Sometimes, on the top of the world with the feeling that nothing could possibly go wrong. Confidence radiating everywhere and everyone knows it. Then, the other side of the cycle, the Murphy's Law side. Don't worry, Fifi, it is part of the balance and for some reason, THE GODS decided we couldn't have it all good. Something about some Eve girl eating the apple or some other nonsense... Tomorrow is another day, and if that is a stinker, there is always the day after that. The good will always outweigh the bad. :)

Don't worry about it if you can "barely keep pace socially"... the world (and even cyberspace) will still be there when you have time for it again. People worthy of your attention will understand. Hurrah for badass boy shoes. Happy cross-dressing! (Joke!)

Ah Fifi darling, hard times. My advice would be to be kind to yourself, including possibly having a good big cry about it all, then a nice snuggle up somewhere warm and whatever kind of treat is your choice. Don't just suck it up, on and on. Big hugs sweet thing xxx

You guys are awesome. Thank you! You are balm to my wounded soul...

Miss Fifi, I just read this. I am so sorry about your colleagues! As for the other, I agree that it is normal to have ups and downs. This is particularly true if you are a sensitive person. And the light is a big issue. I noticed a bit change between my mood in Italy and my mood in the gloom of the big O, even abstracting from ___.
