Been a while...
...however, I am still here.

It has been eight months since Orkplace decided that I'd be better off without them. In spite of the very many ups and downs..I am still basically happy. Who knew...

In which we have a list made of things that are or are not randomly related...or not...

1. Boston. I am horrified I cannot imagine how anyone could do such a thing. And live with it. I said to Ned "Well, they are going to get older and older, and they will realise what they have done, and they will suffer the pangs of that..."

2. I am still seeking Ork, although I have very recently come to terms with the cold hard facts that I actually did not do anything at all to get our department dissolved, and that I actually have nothing to do with the horrible job market...

3. I am still working at the library and I deffo do absolutely adore it! It is like a secular ministry. It turns out that I actually really like doing "grunt work" although I am also recently able to help out with more specialised work, which is also really fun.

4. Ned's Dad got horrible cancer last year. It has not been easy for him, nor Ned's mum. But their courage and strength and just plain awesomeness has never stopped shining through. It makes one feel so helpless and powerless though. Although we did find out recently that this cancer does not migrate to vital organs, so that's a bit of good news, right?

5. Helpless and powerless...that is how I feel quite often these days. Yet I also feel filled with hope and joy and good things. Weird...

6. Mr. Dog gave us quite a scare a few weeks back. I thought we were going to lose him. He is, after all fifteen and a big dog at that, but still... it is called Old Dog Idiopathic Vestibular Syndrome. Very scary, but he has improved massively. He still has a bit of a head tilt and has some weakness on his left side, but that gets better every day. Unforch, he has developed high blood pressure. We are working on regulating that right now. He no longer goes upstairs, but that was going to happen at some point anyway, and he seems to have become resigned to it. I am glad to have my bossy, huffy, stompy boy back.

7. What number is this anyway...seven?

8. My dear old Dad has got some heart problems as well...I have not got the heart yet to quiz my dear old Mum about it but I have been given enough details that I am deffo very worried and anxious.

9. But still, the mundane, yet glorious goes on...I got a spectacular view of a Bald Eagle the other day. I was on higher ground than it was. It was buggering on in what would be the lower canopy, had there been any leaves yet, and I was above it. I stopped Turgin and got Ned on the old ohone, screeching "Ned, Ned an eeeeeagle, I saw an eeeeagle..." Well, sometimes I thank God that I don't have to live with me...saw the bird again yesterday.

10. Bicycle sans asthma has begun again. (Warmer air...)I feel a prat since I have lost so much lung capacity over the Winter, but if I try denial, I shall move along quite nicely, I think.

11. Planting has begun. (If I would only just get to the compost, doing it properly and all of that...) Biba and I planted pansies yesterday and today I planted strawberries, but in a pot this time. Previously planted ones are now wandering all over. Today I also bought herbs (while I still can) and got stevia, which Biba loves.

12 We have been doing lots of things to celebrate life. To be joyful. I can be a moody bastard quite often, so when I participate in life-affirming actions, I feel as if I'd won something. We did a small but fun gig tonight and I thought how brill it was that I get paid for doing something that I love anyway.

So...posting is bound to be irregular still. Bless you all for checking in, though. It warms the cockles of my heart, it does. Thank you for all of your good wishes.

Ecks Oh!
